Special Education Buddy Camp hosted by The Imago Dei school is a vibrant and entertaining day camp led by the passionate and fun-loving Imago Dei crew that joins special education students with typically developing buddies. Our awesome Imago Dei crew and Trinity buddies ensure that each camper has a memorable experience!  Campers and buddies will participate together in a variety of activities including (but certainly not limited to!) Kids Kitchen, Social Detectives, and All Star Athletes. Camp activities are designed to enhance social thinking, improve communication skills, promote fitness, coordination and teamwork, and build lasting friendships in a structured and nurturing environment. It will be our joy and privilege to partner with your camper in this fun and inclusive atmosphere!

*Students must be able to use the bathroom independently in order to attend the Special Education Buddy Camp hosted by The Imago Dei School. Additionally, in order for students to have a positive, successful experience they must possess a level of independence and engagement that will allow them to participate in group activities with a reasonable level of prompting.

Behavior Management and Discipline Policy

The philosophy of behavior management and discipline at Trinity is built upon the foundation of the Word of God, which is profitable for training in righteousness (2 Tim 3:16). The goal of this policy is not to set up consequences and punishments for students when they misbehave, but rather to establish positive expectations for student behavior. A second goal of this policy is not only to address the outward behavior of the students, but also to transform their hearts and minds so they understand how to interact with others in a way that pleases and glorifies God. The rules of the camp are reflected in these 3 principles:

  • Obey God, Parents, and Teachers
  • Love Your Fellow Students
  • Respect Property of the Camp and of Others

Our staff at Special Education Buddy Camp are experienced educators who understand how to create a safe environment for all campers. In the unlikely event that your camper is unable to engage in the camp environment in a safe and controlled fashion parents will be called and a decision will be made as to whether a student may return. Final enrollment decisions are made by the Principal of Special Education.

IMPORTANT:  Signatures of both parents are required (unless you are a single parent). The parent responsible for the financial obligation to Trinity Summer Camp must have his/her signature on this application.
