February 23, 2016 – Trinity’s young wrestling team had their most successful season yet. The team was the largest ever with nine wrestlers and they had qualifiers for CIF.
The young men attended eight meets including CIF. Seven of the nine wrestlers were able to go to CIF.
At league qualifiers for CIF, Sumner Howell was awarded 1st place in his weight class (138 lbs). At CIF Jordan Thomas advanced to day two of the tournament (first time in Trinity wrestling history) and achieved a 3-2 record at the weight class of 195 lbs.
“This was a great year for the boys,” Assistant Coach Daniel Lundstrom said, “and we were able to develop a strong team spirit of camaraderie.”
