VIDEO: Homer’s Odyssey Meets Dr. Seuss

May 26, 2016 – Who knew that Homer’s classic tale of Odysseus could be told in rhyme? Mr. Robertson and his theatre class knew! Narrated by Narrator 1 and Narrator 2 (in Thing 1 and Thing 2 costume), characters from the Odyssey were introduced in an amusing and entertaining fashion.

The classic epic was reimagined in such a way that children of all ages (adults too) could follow the story and enjoy the crazy and colorful characters with humorous rhyming dialogue. There were multi-colored monsters, sirens, the Cyclops, the sorceress Circe serving up crew members she’d turned into pigs with a side of green eggs, and the slaughter of the suitors acted out with teddy bears.
