Trinity Families,
First and foremost, I want to thank you for the love and support of the Trinity community. While this is not the ideal way any of us saw these months happening it’s been a joy to still see and hear about students learning and growing through our remote learning these past few weeks!
That being said, with the extension of our remote learning time it has become apparent that most of our spring co-curricular activities for our after-school enrichment classes and athletics will now be canceled. The only exception to this (as of right now) may be for our Varsity athletics teams as the Heritage League is still in conversation about possible tournaments come late-May or into June (depending on current ordinances). So, if your student participated in a spring co-curricular activity (after-school class, athletic team, etc.) this information is for you.
With these cancellations, we recognize the need to settle accounts accordingly. For many of our co-curricular programs, much of the budget goes to pre-planning for curriculum, equipment, uniforms, and other necessary items. So, with this in mind, we are offering the following opportunities for our families in regards to payments made:
- Donate unused fees as a tax-deductible donation to Trinity Classical Academy.
- Receive a credit towards a similar activity for the 2020-2021 school year.
- Receive a partial refund for unused fees.
Our accounting office is ready to begin processing donations/credits/refunds for those who registered for these programs beginning Monday, April 27. Each program is unique in what was already offered or provided by way of instruction or materials received and, as a result, we have provided refund breakdowns for each program, class, or team on the attached documentation. Please review these documents and provide your response using the link to the form below for how you would like your finances handled for your student’s registration.
Please click here to complete the Spring 2020 Co-Curricular Cancellation Response Form to submit for your donation/credit/refund. Funds will not be able to be properly allocated without a response.
While we believe that these programs are integral parts to our mission and educational vision at Trinity we recognize the uniqueness of them and the challenge it would be to continue or prolong while not physically able to meet together. Please note that for Rhetoric School athletics, in particular, all student-athletes will still be receiving full physical education credit as if they had completed the full season.
If you have any further questions or concerns about your particular case for your family please feel free to contact me using the information below.
Thank you,
Dr. Matthew J. Dixon
