Trinity Classical Academy's National Honor Society chapter planned a specific service project this fall. Operation Gratitude is an organization whose mission it is to thank every American who serves in the military and the NHS students worked in conjunction with them to share heartfelt gratitude for deployed military troops.
The students have donated items, collected items, written letters, and collected funds to ship the boxes as a small token of thanks and admiration for those who bravely serve our country each and every day to safeguard our freedoms.
In addition to creating boxes for Operation Gratitude, the Trinity NHS team created customized boxes for Trinity alumni who are in the military, and shipped each of them an individual box of care package items, along with handwritten notes, and hand-knitted scarves courtesy of Trinity’s “Made with Love” service club.
The National Honor Society is more than an honor roll; it's an organization that fosters leadership. To be eligible, students must maintain an excellent GPA, be of good character and serve their community as volunteers. NHS members are eligible to apply for an NHS Scholarship to help pay for college.
