This week, Varsity Girls Basketball had an important "first". For the first time ever, the Trinity Knights beat their rival from the San Fernando Valley, Faith Baptist. The two undefeated teams in the Heritage League were pitted against each other for a rivalry matchup which resulted in a strong 41-30 victory for the Knights.
They were led by Captain Hannah Caddow with 10 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocked shots. Key contributors included Trinity Towns with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists, and Captain Ellie Howell who had 10 rebounds in game. In the hard fought victory, the Knights overcame foul trouble throughout the game and put themselves in a great position atop the league standings for the second half of league play. This is the first time the Knights have ever beaten Faith and it is Faith's first league loss in 6 years.
