Senior Drew Pfeiffer picked up a "Most Valuable Student" scholarship awarded by the Elks Club. To be awarded a scholarship, students must fill out a lengthy national scholarship form online and then the Elks National Foundation forwards the application to the local Elks Club.
Students apply in the fall and find out in March if they have won for their local area. Pfeiffer won a 3rd place award in the amount of $500 for 2019-20. At the local level there are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for both males and females. The ceremony was on Monday night at the local Elks Club in Canyon Country. There was an award dinner and the students were able to speak for a few moments and then were recognized with a certificate.
Trinity students who have received this scholarship previously include Taylor Totten, Natalie Salazar and Drew Black.
