Information Technology
Trinity Classical Academy uses various technologies to support our instruction. Upper School students have regular opportunities to use over 100 Mac and Windows systems throughout the school day in all subjects. Additionally, each classroom is outfitted with a projector and each faculty member is equipped with a laptop to enhance our students’ learning experience.
Beginning in 7th grade (Logic School), our students are given individual school email accounts and will use them to interact with their teachers, keep track of assignments and collaborate with classmates. Also in Logic School, students spend one semester learning computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and presentation graphics as well as other tools that they will use regularly throughout their academic careers. Rhetoric School seniors are encouraged to bring their own laptops to class for use throughout the day to aid them in their Senior Thesis and various AP classes.
Some of the Mac computers are equipped with Adobe Software programs such as Photoshop, Lightroom and InDesign, which are used in the Yearbook/Graphic Design elective. The film elective also utilizes computers loaded with specific software programs for editing.
