Feb. 25, 2014 – Last week the Trinity Girls Basketball team and the Boys Soccer team lost but the Boys Basketball team won their 2 playoff games to put them into a quarter-final match up tonight at 5:30 at the SCCS Gym against Baptist Christian.

The first week of playoffs began with the Trinity Soccer team playing Santa Clara on Tuesday, Feb. 18th., a team they had lost to by a score of 3-2 earlier in the season. Nick Spinello bent a corner kick directly into the goal for the Knights’ only score as Santa Clara prevailed 3-1.

The Girls Varsity Basketball team made the playoffs in their first-ever season and drew Arrowhead Christian in the first round on Thursday. The Lady Knights battled hard and kept it close the first half. In the 2nd half the visiting Eagles put on a stifling full-court press and pulled away for a 55-29 victory.

The Boys Basketball team started their playoff run with a convincing 57-16 victory over New Covenant Academy at the COC gym. On Friday the team took a 350 mile, five and a half hour bus ride to face Lee Vining in the 2nd round. The Knights jumped out early and never looked back as they scored 100 points for the first time in school history in the 100-55 victory.
