| The Trinity Soccer teams played their inaugural seasons in 2007 with our participation in the Santa Clarita Private School Athletic League (SCVPSAL )and the Valley Christian Athletic League.
The competition level is high and the students learn not only soccer skills, strategy and tactics, but they also enjoy an experience playing with their classmates and representing Trinity.
The Soccer program began in December of 2007 with the Trinity Girls Junior High team beginning play under the coaching direction of Trinity mom, Kim Sagardia, with assistance from her daughter Rebecca Sagardia. We had 14 girls come out for the team. Playing outdoors in a regulation soccer setting, the girls competed in the Valley Christian Athletic League where they took on Grace Brethren (Simi Valley) and Canoga Park Lutheran. | Trinity JH Team player, Gayane Allen , dribbles past a Canoga Park Lutheran defender.
| The girls made terrific progress throughout the season and capped it off with a 8-0 home win over Canoga Park Lutheran. | | Our Grammar School Soccer teams also had a terrific inaugural season, under head coach, Wally Caddow. Trinity fielded a Boys Junior Varsity Team (4th and 5th graders), a Varsity Team (4th, 5th and 6th Graders) and a Girls team (4th thru 6th graders). We had 28 STUDENTS COME OUT for all three teams! The teams played in the Santa Clarita Private School Athletic League against Legacy Christian Academy, Pinecrest School, Santa Clarita Christian and Our Lady of Perpetual Help. All games are held at the Santa Clarita Soccer Center. | While all the teams performed well and learned a lot throughout the season the highlight was a penalty shootout victory by the Junior Varsity Squad over Legacy. After rallying to level the score at 5-5, it went to penalty kicks where goalkeeper Ryan Brooks, in his first-ever shootout, blocked three shots to secure the win. The team advanced to the final where they put up a valiant effort but fell to Santa Clarita Christian. Sign-ups for Girls Junior High Soccer this year will be in November with their season commencing in January and running until February. |
| The Grammar School Soccer teams will have sign- ups in March and the league will run through April and May. | The Trinity JV Boys team after their penalty shootout semi-final game that put them in the SCVPSAL championship.
