Mar. 22, 2016 – The Hart Games once again provided an opportunity for Trinity’s Imago Dei students to run, jump and throw against other teams from our community. It was a day of accomplishment and encouragement for our five IDS high-schoolers.

Beau Howell, Ethan McMath, Katy Tennesen, Josh Wilson and Caleb Valuzet made up the Imago Dei team which competed in 400m relay, 200m dash, 100yard dash, 50yard dash and 100yard hurdles.  The field events we competed in were the long jump, shot put, and softball throw.

The Imago Dei athletes started preparing for this event at the beginning of the school year by implementing a new conditioning class.  The class meets every B day from 8:008:40.  Students have trained in proper stretching, calisthenics, strength training, baton exchanges, and cardio.  They then performed each event, except the relay, here on campus multiple times.  The athletes were also able to go and practice on the track at Valencia to record their relay time.  They thoroughly enjoyed the fun and competition of conditioning class in preparation for Hart Games!

Our Trinity 11th grade class attended Hart Games to support our student athletes. They cheered, handed out waters, and waved signs personally decorated for each student athlete. It’s hard to say who is blessed more, the athletes or the people cheering them on.
