After weeks of hard work and dedication, I am sad to announce the end of the Junior High School Flag Football Season. The young men showed a lot of heart and desire to learn and for many, it was their first time playing this very complicated game. The men became stronger, tougher and more skilled every week. The first five games the team truly had an opportunity to both develop and exhibit character. The fifth game was the toughest as we were playing against 11 men in two types of uniforms. The final two games, it all seemed to come together on both sides of the ball. All of a sudden The Knights looked like a football team. And boy, were the other teams surprised. The knights scored 6 touchdowns and surrendered only 2 with our final game being a shut out against Santa Clarita Christian on Monday. Monday's SCCS game saw a tremendous turnout from the Trinity family - we have terrific fans. A big thank you to the cheerleaders who did a great job and helped the team to victory. The recent games were not as close as the scores would suggest. I would go out on a limb to say, at this point, we could beat any of the teams we faced. Great job men! In closing I know the coaches had a great time and I am confident the players did. I hope next year more of our Trinity Knights choose football at all the levels we offer. There's nothing better than playing a little “ball” with your buddies and representing your school! In HIS Service Coach Ben Froemming | Directions to Trinity's "Home" JH Football Field |
