May 20, 2015 – The Golf team has some powerhouse players, some who are learning and growing and some seniors who will be leaving us. The future is bright and the students will hit the greens again next spring to improve on this season’s results.

The team won 5 of their 15 matches, each by 20-30 points. Leslie and Ellie Kim both qualified to play in league finals. Both girls are strong golfers, teeing off from the men’s tee. Freshman Ellie Kim consistently drove the green and won first place in a Tri match, beating 14 other players. She is not intimidated by other players, not even the boys, and she will be the one to watch. Her older sister sophomore Leslie Kim averages four over par and is a strong and consistent player.

Senior Joey Ceglia drove the ball 400 yards and averages four over par. Next year will not be the same without him. Senior Colby Lee improved on his game, shaving 10 strokes off and consistently shooting eight over par by the end of the season.

Junior Cole Maimone and sophomore Ben Kaufman both improved throughout the season and were critical to the team’s wins.

Watch out Spring 2016! These student athletes are determined to improve and very competitive.
