Trinity White Beats Trinity Blue in Opener for Both Teams

With so many players signed up for Trinity basketball, the teams were split into Blue and White. Their first league game was against each other and Trinity White prevailed 34-16.
Drew Black led the Blue team in scoring with 7 pts., followed by Taylor Oshiro (4 pts.), Koby Schafer (3 pts.) and Stephen Chang (2 pts.). The Blue team was very active on the boards with nearly every player getting at least one rebound. The Blue team's offense featured some excellent ball handling by their point guard, Taylor Oshiro, who was supported by well executed screens. Unfortunately, they put up many nice shots that just could not find the bottom of the net.
The White team's scoring was led by Caden Kulp with 14 pts., followed by Sumner Howell (10 pts.), Ryan DeMarois (8 pts.) and CJ McMullen (2 pts.). They were at their best when running a fast break and showed a lot of poise dribbling and passing the ball quickly up the court. The White team's shooting percentage was higher overall, which made all the difference in the score.
